1. My Service Learning Project My name I Patrick Smith and this is my Service Learning Project. Everyone in the class was required to have a minimum of eight hours of community service. I chose to spend my eight hours washing cars. We helped raise money for the American Heart Association and also for a PFC John Ryan.

2. Supporting Our Troops The community service event held on Saturday, April 23, 2005 was to raise support for PFC injured soldier John Ryan Thompson of The United States Army.

3. Supporting Our Troops John was injured by a bomb explosion in Baghdad, Iraq and suffered serious injuries from shrapnel. Over $300 was raised in support to help John and his family.

5. American Heart Association The mission of The American Heart Association is to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
