CALL THE VICTIMS NAME IF YOU KNOW IT. GENTLY TAP THE VICTIM’S SHOULDER. CALL INTO THE EARS OF THE VICTIM TO AS TO SEE IF HE/SHE WILL RESPOND.

Who is a First-aider A first-aider is one who has been trained and tested to give first-aid treatment in an emergency situation before the arrival of doctor or the victim is taken to hospital Call the victim name Gently tap the victim’s shoulderor call into the ears to see if he/she will respond

AIRWAYS Check the airways to know if it is closed or open. If closed, open it by tilting the head and lifting the chin.

BREATHING Check if breathing is present. Look for rise and fall of the stomach Feel for hot air around the nose. If breathing is present place the victim in the recovery position while you await the doctor for further professional treatment.

If there is no breathing, then give compression.

COMPRESSION Give 30 compression to two rescue breathing. Locate the breast bone. The compressing force should come from your shoulder. The elbow should remain straight.
