13 Doric The first order of column was the Doric order, it was known for being used by the Spartans. The top part of a column is called the capital. The capital of a Doric column is very simple. The capital is made of a round pad with a square block over it. The Doric column has no base.

14 Ionic the capital has two rounded spirals which look like a wrapped scroll viewed from the end. The small Temple to Athena Nike at the Acropolis is Ionic in style.

15 Corinthian The third order of Greek column is the Corinthian. The capital of a Corinthian column is carved to look like layers of acanthus leaves. There are carved rings at the base.

17 Roman Pantheon Ordinary classical temple type-- rectangular with a gabled roof supported by a colonnade on all sides. The dome was the largest built until modern times.
