2. Procedures for Commissioners EMERGENCY EVACUATION PROCEDURES IN THE WSSC CONSOLIDATED OFFICE BUILDING  If the building evacuation alarm sounds proceed directly to the main entrance (lobby level). Move quickly and quietly and follow all directions given by the guards on duty.  If you smell smoke or see fire, pull the nearest fire alarm.

Procedures for Commissioners EMERGENCY EVACUATION PROCEDURES IN THE WSSC CONSOLIDATED OFFICE BUILDING  DO NOT USE ELEVATORS  If you are caught in smoke, stay low and crawl to the nearest available exit.  Persons with severe mobility impairments and any other occupants unable to walk will be assisted with exiting the building.

Procedures for Commissioners EMERGENCY EVACUATION PROCEDURES IN THE WSSC CONSOLIDATED OFFICE BUILDING  Proceed out the lobby level main entrance and travel along the driveway on the sidewalk to Sweitzer Lane and turn left.  Assemble in the parking area of the Sun Trust Building, next door on Sweitzer Lane.  KEEP DRIVEWAYS CLEAR FOR EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT.

Procedures for Commissioners EMERGENCY EVACUATION PROCEDURES IN THE WSSC CONSOLIDATED OFFICE BUILDING  If you are in the parking garage, leave by the nearest exit and proceed away from the building to the Sun Trust parking lot.  Wait for further instructions from the Fire Department or incident commander.  Once the building is safe to reenter, an “All Clear” message will be given and all employees may reenter the building.

Procedures for Commissioners EMERGENCY EVACUATION PROCEDURES IN THE WSSC CONSOLIDATED OFFICE BUILDING Shelter In Place Procedures During certain emergency situations, particularly chemical and some weather related emergencies you may be directed to “Shelter in Place” rather than evacuate the building.

7. Procedures for Commissioners EMERGENCY EVACUATION PROCEDURES IN THE WSSC CONSOLIDATED OFFICE BUILDING Shelter In Place Procedures If so the following are procedures you must follow:  Stay inside the building  Go to stairwell and proceed down to lake level  Enter the lower level garage and assemble outside the door  Once the building is safe to reenter, an “All Clear” message will be given and all employees may reenter the building.

8. Procedures for Commissioners EMERGENCY EVACUATION PROCEDURES IN THE WSSC CONSOLIDATED OFFICE BUILDING Shelter In Place Procedures  If you are mobility impaired, proceed to stairwell, enter and stay on the platform. A floor coordinator will assist you.  Remain where you are until further direction from emergency personnel.

9. Procedures for Commissioners EMERGENCY EVACUATION PROCEDURES IN THE WSSC CONSOLIDATED OFFICE BUILDING POINTS TO REMEMBER IN CASE OF A BUILDING EVACUATION:  DO NOT PANIC.  Walk to the nearest exit. DO NOT RUN.  Upon evacuating, proceed to the designated gather point.  DO NOT try to handle the emergency yourself.  Follow the instructions
