32 Thin Client Security Requirements Slide 32 1. The test delivery client application runs on the terminal or workstation in a full-screen, modal manner. Responsiveness of the student user interface is satisfactory. Validate using a practice test on all clients attached to one server simultaneously (at least on one server with the maximum anticipated number of clients should be checked). 2. The test delivery client interface presents the content in a format that does not present difficulty reading and all available tools (such as answer selection and removal, option eliminator, eraser, mark for later review, ruler, and screen reader) can be used during testing. Thin Client Local Security Requirements – 6 Elements to Confirm Prior to Testing

While testing, students are effectively prevented from running or accessing any application that would allow them to maintain, save, or reference notes or any other materials related to the test. 6. While testing, students are effectively prevented from copying any test item content as displayed within the test delivery client application, in whole or in part, into any other application. This applies to text content within any item component, as well as to images or screen captures of all or part of any test item. 39 For a Positive Testing Experience… Anti-virus software (full scans) should be scheduled after testing hours. Screen savers and power management should be set to a longer timeout. Restrict other intensive bandwidth use during testing - such as “Dropbox”. Laptop protocol – Use AC power, wired access, wireless check. Whitelist *.CTB or allow IPs if IP addresses are required locally. Verify setup on a few workstations prior to testing. Restore software (Deep Freeze, etc.) configured to retain test data after reboot. Text To Speech –Volume “ON” and MP3 files allowed. All other applications closed on testing machines during the test.
