Commission on Teacher Credentialing Ensuring Educator Excellence Designated Subjects Adult Education Standards The first standards for preparing adult education teachers were adopted by the Commission in 1993. Program guidelines were used prior to adoption of 1993 standards.

Commission on Teacher Credentialing Ensuring Educator Excellence Advisory Panel In April 2008 the CTC recruited an expert advisory panel to review and update program standards for preparing adult education teachers. Panel members include 17 adult education experts including representatives from CSU, UC, ACSA, CSBA, CTA, & CFT.
