Fasset Strategy Strategic Areas: Decided annually by Fasset Management Board Lifelong Learning (LL) also available to SDL-exempt members who register with Fasset as an employer Used to guide Development Projects e.g. Work readiness Strategic Cash Grant criteria Learnership Cash Grant structure Importance of Scarce Skills in the Fasset sector Fasset’s Sector Skills Plan contains a Scarce Skills list, download off website This list is vital for all within the Fasset sector, to ensure proper interventions More black and disabled individuals needed in the sector SMME support needed

Learnership Cash Grant 2006/7 due 31 March in respect of learners commencing 1 April 2006 to 31 March 2007 2007/8 due 31 March 2008 in respect of learners commencing 1 January to 31 December (3 month overlap - same as SCG) Criteria Black and/or disabled Firms 150 or less Firm to be registered with Fasset (as NLP or SDL payer) Not only Fasset learnerships. See website for list of other Seta learnerships 1 year learnership R 10 000 2 year learnership R 15 000 3 year learnership R 25 000 Extension requests required before deadline

Certificates for event attendance available on Fasset database to Fasset registered firms only – contact call centre for logon information FSA intervention begins 1 April 2007 Customer Satisfaction Survey 3 development projects approved in October 2006 Bonani NQF level 6 – 400 learners (finance environments) Itukisa NQF level 6 – 30 learners (finance environments) Thusanani NQF level 5, 6 and 7 – 200 learners (finance & non- financial environments) R 144 000 000 has been allocated to the 48 projects to date
