How can our church mark World AIDS Day? Put up our poster in a position outside your church building. create your own large red ribbon banner and put it outside your building. If your church is floodlit, can you floodlight it in red on World AIDS Day (by changing the filter?) Use our prayer and prayer card on a Sunday near World AIDS Day (this year we suggest either 25 th November or 2 nd December) in your service.

Contact your local health board for a supply of red ribbons and distribute them to your congregation. If you haven’t already done so, hold a Souper Sunday, (use the complete order of service for worship, and have a soup and bread lunch to follow). Check out the HIV Programme website for more information about the projects we support (www.churchofscotland.org.uk/speak_out) If you have coffee and tea after your morning service, serve cup cakes with an icing red ribbon on them!
