How do biography authors hook and hold their readers One thing that could help you write a hooking biography is start out with something exciting “this means starting your book or story at a compelling place, with a scene, with something at stake for your characters”. (How to Write Great Beginnings). Another thing that will help hook a reader is “boredom kills readership If you're bored when you write the opening, if you fall asleep at your desk when you reread it, and if trusted readers can't stop yawning when they review it, what makes you think strangers you send it to will be riveted by it”. As “EzineArticles” would say “set up a story promise” when a readers are looking for a book to read they read the back of the book to look to see what the book is going to talk about. Readers like surprises so let them know the there is going to be some sort of surprise

How do biography writers persuade their readers? "The Writing Life” would say One way I think biography writers can persuade their writer is by who their writing about. For instance if their writing about Arnold Schwarzenegger you will probably write in a way that people interested in him would act not in a way that someone who likes Jesse Eisenberg because they are two different people. As "The Writing Life” would say “Think it through Study your biases carefully. Are your main points broad, sweeping claims or narrowly focused statements? Have you listed statistical facts, opinions of acknowledged leaders, or unsupported statements from sources that may be nothing more than a non-expert's opinion? You will have to come up with a lot more evidence to support a claim using language like: a majority, all, or never.”

What is the relationship between biography and truth? The relation ship between biographies and truth is pretty strong. Biographies are pretty much all truth. The only instance I think where you would get lies in a biography is if it was a poor written ill researcher biography. So you want to make sure your picking out a well credited biography if your using it for a major project. The relation ship between biographies and truth is pretty strong. Make an impact. Start the biography with a really interesting sentence. Think about a little known or funny fact or describe a crucial moment in their life. Even a famous and compelling quote would be a great start. It must be something that entices the reader to read on. This sentence can come from any stage of the person's life. What do biography writers do to choose between important and not important things in a person’s life to write about? My guess to how they do that is by personal opinion, because what some people may find boring others may find interesting. Another way is if something that the person did led them to become what they are today. Also if they did something in their life that you think would make it impossible for them to accomplish what they did like the fact that bill gates never finished school but he became a millionaire My guess to how they do that is by personal opinion, because what some people may find boring others may find interesting.
