D. Beecroft Fremont High School 2009-2010 Network A group of two or more computers, software, and other devices that are connected by means of one or more communications media.

Host Computer Main or controlling computer connected to other computers or terminals to which it provides data or computing services via a network. Used more commonly with the Internet

Client Network architecture in which a computer (client) is used to send information or a request to another computer (server).

Network Connections Devices, Continued Routers An electronic device typically used in large networks, including the Internet, to assure that messages are sent to their intended destinations.
