Find your access code on your After Visit Summary, which is given to you at the end of each doctor’s appointment. If you do not have an After Visit Summary, request a code online.

6 The Messaging tab holds all of your incoming and sent MyChart messages. By clicking Get Medical Advice you can send your health care team non-urgent messages at anytime. When there is an unread message, the message will be bolded in your Inbox. In addition, you will be notified at the top of your MyChart home page if you have new messages in your Inbox. “Messaging” tab

7 Under the Messaging tab you can select Get Medical Advice which allows you to message your health care team regarding non-urgent medical questions or concerns, at anytime. You can expect a response within approximately 3 business days. 2.) Choose from the following options. “Messaging” tab 1.) You can only select from providers who you have recently seen at MetroHealth. You can even attach an image regarding a medical condition to your message. For example, a picture of a rash.

8 Request Rx Renewal Under the Messaging tab, select Request Rx Renewal to request a prescription renewal from your provider. A list of available prescriptions to renew will be shown. “Messaging” tab Select the medication(s) you would like to renew by checking the check box. Click Continue.

To request an appointment with a provider you have not seen or for a specialty visit, click Request a Referral under the Messaging tab.

10 10 “Messaging” tab Your letters will be displayed here. If your communication preference is MyChart, you will not receive these letters via mail – your letters can be seen by logging into your MyChart account.

12 “Visits” tab 12 Under the Visits tab you can view upcoming appointments and visit summaries from past appointments. This MyChart tab also allows you to schedule primary care appointments, request appointments and cancel appointments all online! You can use MyChart to cancel an upcoming appointment up to 24 hours prior. Click on “Cancel Appts” then select an appointment and click Continue. Click here to view Appointment Details. (see next slide)

13 13 “Visits” tab Here are your appointment details. If you have a questionnaire, complete it before your appointment to save you time at the doctor’s office. You can use eCheck-In to save time at your appointment. It allows you to update your information before arriving at your appointment. 15 “Visits” tab Schedule an Appt With MyChart, you can schedule an appointment with your primary care provider. This features allows you to view your provider’s available appointments and schedule the one that works for you. 1.) To begin, click Schedule an Appt under the Visits tab. 16 “Visits” tab Schedule an Appt. (continued) To help our team with scheduling this appointment, you will be asked two questions. Select the Yes or No button for each question, then click Continue. Next, you will choose a location.

17 In the Preferred dates, select the date range that works for you. Click on the Calendar Icon next to the From: and To: (the end date is optional) boxes, to select a date range on the calendar. Click Continue after you have selected a date range. Schedule an Appt. (continued) After choosing your location, you will then… Note: You are able to schedule with any primary care provider you have seen or members of their care team. “Visits” tab Select the provider you want to see in the Schedule with box – highlight the name of the provider.

18 Schedule an Appt. (continued) A list of available appointments will be shown. Before confirming an appointment, be sure to note the Location of the appointment. “Visits” tab If the dates shown do not work for you, click the arrows to show the Next Available Times. Select the appointment you wish to schedule and click Continue.

19 “Visits” tab 1.) Enter the reason for your visit in the Comments box. 2.) Click the Make Appointment button to confirm your scheduled appointment. If you would like to make changes to the appointment, click Back or click Cancel if you no longer wish to schedule the appointment. Schedule an Appt. (continued) Step 6 will show a summary of your appointment. Review the information and ensure everything is accurate.

20 20 “Visits” tab The last screen will display your appointment details.

Use the message box to add any information. 5.) click Send. Once the appointment has been scheduled, y ou will receive an appointment reminder in your MyChart Inbox. If you want to request an appointment, you can use the Request an Appointment feature under the Visits Tab.

22 22 “Visits” tab You can now schedule appointments for planned labs and procedures! Under the Visits tab, choose Scheduling Tickets to schedule appointments at your own convenience. Scheduling tickets are automatically generated when clinicians order certain procedures, such as mammograms or lab tests.

23 “Visits” tab You can view your Visit History under the Visits tab. This allows you to view your visit summaries which is all of your past appointment information including the date and time of the appointment. If you have recently been admitted to MetroHealth, click Admission Summaries to see details about your hospital admission(s).

24 “My Medical Record” tab Your MyChart My Medical Record tab holds your medical history for you. You are able to review test results, your current health issues, medications and more. You no longer have to schedule another appointment to review your test results. Test Results from most tests can be sent electronically – safely and securely. You will be notified on your MyChart home page as well as via email when your test results are ready for review. You no longer have to schedule another appointment to review your test results. If you are concerned about any test result, click on the link Get Medical Advice.

25 MyChart allows you to stay organized with your medications. Each medication that is currently prescribed to you will be listed within your Medications page along with instructions on how to take each medication and the provider who prescribed it to you. “My Medical Record” tab From the Medications page, you can conveniently request a renewal by selecting the request a renewal link. A message will be sent to your provider to notify him/her about your request.

26 Under the My Medical Record tab, Preventive Care helps you keep track of your preventive care needs. You can see when each procedure has been completed or if it is overdue. “My Medical Record” tab If a procedure is overdue, you can simply check the test that needs to be completed and select Request Appointment. You will be taken to the Request an Appointment page.

27 “My Medical Record” tab Viewing your Immunizations is another feature under the My Medical Record tab. You can use this to print a copy of your shot records.

28 28 “My Medical Record” tab Click Administrative Information under the My Medical Record tab to view your personal information that is saved in MyChart. Send a customer service request to edit/update any of your information.
