OZONE LAYER oOzone layer is made up from ozone molecule. oAn ozone molecules is made up of three oxygen atom bound together. oIts located 19-48km above the Earth’s surface. oThe function – serves as a shield from the Sun’s harmful energy and absorb the ultraviolet (UV) radiation that enters the atmosphere. oNow a days….human activities had destroy the ozone layer.

HOW THE OZONE LAYER HAD BEEN DESTROY?? The ozone layer had been destroy by the chemical substance – CFCs (chlorofluorocarbon) CFCs was uses in many household item (aerosol), and electrical item (refrigerator and air-conditioner). Than the CFCs was released to the atmosphere and mix with the normal atmospheric gases at reach the stratosphere. CFCs will react with the ultraviolet light and released chlorine atoms. This chlorine atoms will damage the ozone layer. One chlorine atom can destroy 100 000 ozone molecules. CFC Ultraviolet light Chlorine atoms Chlorine atoms will destroy the ozone layer CFCs react with ultraviolet light, Released the chlorine atoms

A THINNER OZONE LAYER LEAD TO INCREASED ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION AT THE EARTH’S SURFACE….what will happen next??? Mutation Skin cancer Eye’s cataract Low immunity Impair tree growth Kill the phytoplankton EFFECTS OF OZONE DEPLETION EYE’S CATARACT PHYTOPLANKTON
