3.  Pick up worksheet and a textbook.  “Do Now” ◦ Name at least three structures of a neuron: 1.Dendrites 2.Axon 3.Myelin 4.Nucleus 5.Axon terminal bud

4.  Pick up neuralville rubric along with a textbook.  “Do Now” ◦ Describe the function of the following:  Dendrites  Axon  Terminal bud  Myelin

5.  Pick up “Mouse Party” worksheet.  Turn in Nervous Tissue and Structure Lab along with mad mad neuron worksheet from Tuesday if you haven’t done so.  “Do Now” ◦ Describe the effect that drugs may have on the function of a neuron?

6.  Pick up blank paper and pom-pom question worksheet.  Turn in your Neuron Webquest.  “Do Now” (on half sheet of paper). Write your name and turn-in when completed. ◦ Draw a motor neuron and label its parts. ◦ Describe how information is received and passed on to another neuron. Use the following terms: dendrites, axon, cell body, synaptic knob, impulse, synaptic cleft, neurotransmitters.

7.  Pick up Reflex Arc worksheet along with a textbook.  Turn-in Neuronville cartoon  “Do Now” ◦ Describe the events that occur during an action potential using the following terms: Sodium, potassium, sodium/potassium pump, ATP, axon.

11.  Pick up Sheep Brain Dissection worksheet  Take out your parts and functions of the nervous system packet  “Do Now” ◦ Name the 4 lobes of the brain and their functions: 1.Frontal – reasoning, planning, speech, movement, emotions and problem solving 2.Parietal – perception of stimuli such as touch, pressure, temperature and pain 3.Temporal – perception and recognition of auditory stimuli (hearing) and memory (hippocampus) 4.Occipital – concerned with many aspects of vision

12.  Pick up Nervous System Review & turn in rewrite paper along with original paper and rubric  “Do Now” ◦ List at least 5 external and internal structures of the sheep brain:
