Headquarters OEP OEP is responsible for development implementation and coordination of emergency preparedness plans to protect Postal Service employees, customers, operations and mail security during disasters and national emergencies

Headquarters OEP (continued) Office of Emergency Preparedness has four key objectives 1.Safeguard employees and customers Bio Detection System (BDS) 2.Maintain high state of emergency readiness to ensure continuity of operation Integrated Emergency Management Plan (IEMP) 3.Safeguard critical assets of the Postal Service Mail Isolation Control and Tracking (MICT) 4.Maintain the security interests of our nation National Response Plan (NRP)
