6. How the academy operates The academy is a cohort model that the students will be a part of for all four years. The students will have core classes and computer classes together. Students will submit assignments via Moodle. Academy teachers share common planning time.

7. Who is eligible for the academy? Any Freshman entering ninth grade for the 1 st time some 10 th grade students. Must complete online application. Must have passed the 8 th grade computer skills test. Must reflect the general population of NHS. Must be in good standing with middle school.

8. Code of Conduct Maintain a C average at all times. If grade falls below a C, the students will stay for tutoring. Students dress on Thursdays. If a student is suspended, they go through a hearing process to determine their status in the academy.

10. Course Work 9 th grade - Algebra I, English I, Earth/Environmental Science, Digital Communications, Health/PE, and 2 electives 10 th grade – Computer Application I & II, World History, English II, Physical Science, Geometry, 2 electives

11. Course Work Continued 11 th Grade - English III, Civics and Economics, Algebra II, Biology, Choice of Principles of Business, E-Commerce or Marketing, Computer Engineering, Internship, and 1 foreign language or elective 12 th Grade – English IV, Early America, US History, 4 th Math, 2 nd foreign language, or elective internship and dual enrollment opportunities

12. Industry Certifications A+ Certification Microsoft Office Specialists and Administrator IC3 Networking + Comptia Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
