2 The new historical expositions project After the earthquake in 1977 the archeological exposition in Rousse was closed down. Thus the museum lost part of its functions and several generations of citizens of Rousse had no knowledge of the local cultural heritage. The Rousse Regional Museum of History has a new historical expositions. It includes 8 halls on 2 floors and with subjects Archeology, Ethnology and Bulgarian history.

11 Educational programs in the Museum The Museum organizes programs for different ages, aiming to overcome the boundaries between generations. For four years now with the assistance of the European Program Leonardo da Vinci and the non-profit organization Grampus Heritage, English students in Archeology have been trained. The Museum is a partner of the Rousse University in the master programs in Ethnology and Cultural and Historical Heritage.
