2 What is an iPod? A mp3 player or digital audio player (DAP) A device that stores, organizes and plays digital music files. Manufactured by Apple iPod is a ‘Brand’ of mp3 players

5 How does a video iPod work? Wheel- virtually turns with the touch of your finger. “Enter Button” Full COLOR video screen

6 Adjust the volume while video or audio is playing by ‘turning’ the wheel with your finger.

7 How could you use a video iPod in the classroom? eBooks Podcasting Historical Speeches/ Audio/Documents Audio study guides Viewing PowerPoints while working on projects Create content for higher-order thinking skills Meet IEP needs with audio testing StreamlineSC videos Oral histories, interviews Review Flash Cards Create and read graphic novels

11 Podcasting What is podcasting? The combination of the words “ipod” and “broadcasting.” Creating and publishing audio files on the internet. “Digital radio shows” patrons subscribe. Do you need an iPod for podcasting? No, but with a voice recorder students can use the iPod for interviews or groups podcasting.
