MERCURYMERCURY BY SARAH YOUNG,NICOLE BYRNE AND GRACE BYRNE

Cool info on mercury Mercury is a small rocky planet.Mercury has been visited by the mariner 10 spacecraft.Mariner 10 has mapped a little less than half 45% of Mercury's surface. They are still studying information sent to Earth from the Mariner spacecraft to make sure The temperature on Mercury ranges from 90 K to 700K. It was once believed that there was no water on Mercury, but this turned out to be false.

SOME COOL PICS OF MERCURY Some pics

Facts on our solar system In our solar system, nine planets circle around our Sun. The Sun sits in the middle while the planets travel in circular paths (called orbits) around it. These nine planets travel in the same direction (counter- clockwise looking down from the Sun's north pole). The picture on the right shows the different paths and positions of each planetSun

Why we picked MERCURY We picked mercury because it is an interesting planet as you can see It is a major part of the solar- system

Mercury Our solar system consists of eight major planets and three dwarf planets. Amongst the eight major plants, Mercury is the smallest one. At the same time, it is closest to the sun. The planet is only slightly larger than moon and is filled with craters on its surface. It does not have a satellite of its own and is also devoid of any rings. The atmosphere of Mercury consists of sodium, helium, hydrogen and oxygen. The planet appears bright, when seen from earth

INFO ON MERCURY In Roman mythology Mercury is the god of commerce, travel and thievery. Mercury is also known as Hermus, the messenger of the Gods, in Greek mythology. The planet probably received this name because it moves so quickly across the sky.

By Sarah Nicole and Grace I was very impressed when we got the planet mercury. Did you know that mercury is the smallest planet in the solar system? Here is a pic:

MERCURY FACTS Diameter:4,879 KM One day:59 earth days Distance from sun:57,900,000KM Orbit around sun: 88 days

MERCURY Mercury is the closet planet to the sun. For the reason Mercury is extremely hot during the day. There is no air or water on Mercury,so noting could live there.

THANK YOU Thank you for looking at our project By Nicole Sarah and Grace.
