Present Tense Introduction Simple Present –“The sun rises.” (something that always exists) –“It snows in Harbin.” (something that usually happens) – “I study every day.” (something that happens as a habit) Present Progressive –“He is studying right now.” He began to study at 10:00 tonight. It is now 11:00 and he is still studying. His study will probably continue longer.
