Medical Concerns We have been fortunate enough on previous trips to accommodate all medical issues. We will have staff who are trained to deal with allergic reactions, diabetic concerns, and access to refrigerators. Students need medical permission for us to give any medicine Over and under-the-counter This year the county has given us guidelines and most likely our school nurse or a school nurse will attend the trip for any medical emergencies as well as delivering medication while in the hotel.
15
Medical Concerns If you have a child who has a medical concern or medical need while on the trip you must complete medication paperwork. Your child must have a separate consent form for each medication and it must be completed by your doctor. Make sure the medication is the same as what the doctor has written, it is in its original container, and it can be opened. Dosage must be exactly what is prescribed. All medical forms should be completed by Friday, February 19 th. Turn all forms into the new nurse Katie Hilborn If you have any questions specifically please call or email her katie.hilborn@ucps.k12.nc.us. katie.hilborn@ucps.k12.nc.us
