What is Demographic Transition? refers to the transition from high birth and death rates to low birth and death rates as a country develops from a pre- industrial to an industrialized economic system. (Caldwell, John) Crude Birth Rate (CBR) and Crude Death Rate (CDR) are represented on the model per 1000 births.
