3 HOW to become a police officer.  First you have to have an education and you have to be 21 years old then you go through training and you must be a U.S. citizen or a citizen of the state you live in.

4 Police environment.  Police and detective work can be physically demanding, stressful, and dangerous. Police officers have one of the highest rates of on-the-job injuries and fatalities, or deaths.

5 What they do.  Enforce laws.  Respond to calls for service.  Patrol assigned areas.  Conduct traffic stops and issue citations, or tickets.  Arrest some suspects.  Write detailed reports and fill out forms.  Prepare cases and testify in court. Click here.!!
