Tools Definition- clearly defines what a thing is using comparison or contrast Description- vivid detail using simile (as or like a…..) or metaphor much stronger than a simile Explanation- answer questions about how, what and why something is happening Narration- an illustrative story

Preparation Step One – Know your audience (size, group’s views of the subject, age, occupations, economic status, interests and knowledge of subject Step Two – Know the topic your are to speak on well before speaking Step Three – Write down the exact purpose of your presentation Step Four – Plan in detail Main points Method or organization Expand your thinking (mind maps or story boards) Visual aids Step Five – Write introduction and Conclusion Step Six – Practice, Practice and Practice
