CHINA’S POLLUTION PROBLEM By: Mira Sripada This event is happening right now.
2
Introduction China finds pollution a growing problem. Foreign companies that work there are struggling with this issue. A recent survey has been sent out proving it is much harder to find foreigners to work in China.
3
Who? China and other developing countries are dealing with this issue. One developing country is India.
4
What? China is finding out that pollution makes a major impact on jobs and everyday life. About 477 members of foreign companies participated in the survey; the companies cover a wide range of industries. Most of these industries are in Beijing (the capital of China)
5
Why? As I said earlier, foreign countries are not able to work in China because it is too polluted. People are getting ill from the air that they are breathing. Some sicknesses that you can get from breathing polluted air are lung cancer, heart disease and strokes. Since people are getting so ill they have no choice but to go back to where they came from.
6
Where? This is happening currently in Beijing, China. China has 1.35 billion people which is currently the most populated country in the world.
7
My Opinion I think that China should fix this problem. One way they could do that is advertisements that tell about how pollution is bad for the environment. This would get people to care about pollution, decreasing the amount of pollution there is in China. If the pollution decreases more people could work there.
8
Other Opinion Other people might think that worrying about pollution will slow down the growth of large industries. If the government puts a lot of money into pollution they might not have enough to put in to a large businesses that needs to keep going.
