WHAT IS THE FTS? www.reliefweb.int/fts On-line database of humanitarian funding Real time/snapshot Needs/contributions in appeals Beyond appeals
3
WHAT DOES FTS ALLOW YOU TO DO? Monitor funding status of any appeal: per organization, per sector/cluster, per priority, location, and project – thus highlighting funding gaps. Monitor humanitarian funding outside the appeal, identify donors and recipient organizations for activities not included in the appeal.
4
WHAT DOES FTS ALLOW YOU TO DO? Donor profiles – quick overviews of humanitarian funding by any given donor to a specific country or globally. Analyze funding trends – global trends by donor, sector, emergency or recipient agency.
5
HOW FTS CAN HELP YOU Facilitate advocacy efforts: by identifying areas with the greatest resource needs, highlighting neglected emergencies, under-funded organizations, sectors/clusters, and locations in country. Better targeted fundraising: FTS also allows you to see which donors are funding what. By analyzing donor interests and funding trends you can better target your fundraising efforts. Save staff time: by providing information and analysis at your fingertips.
6
HOW FTS CAN HELP YOU Coordination: offering information at a glance on which implementing organizations and donors are working in which emergencies, sectors, and locations, and to what scale. CAP/Flash Appeal visibility: FTS helps to draw attention to humanitarian needs and the funding requirements of implementing organizations.
