ENGAGE metadata A 3-tier schema has been adopted in the project (DC, CERIF, data set-specific schema) Pushing for CERIF in the “middle-tier” – some more work needed to convince people promoting pure RDF/Semantic Web technologies ENGAGE demonstrator developed by EKT to show suitability of CERIF and facilitate adoption within the consortium

4. ENGAGE – demonstrator An initial mapping of existing flat PSI metadata standards to CERIF has been performed (Nikos, Keith) Demonstrator under development at EKT Technologies used: JavaEE, Spring, Maven, MySQL, open source data transformation tool developed by EKT (biblio-transformation- engine, available at Google Code)
