Croydon – “Greater” London. 1750 participants – Much smaller than Chicago (~3000 ppl) – Biggest Drupal Europe conference yet Relaxed, small and cosy (?) conference… – Fairfield Halls not big… – Lots of selling, sharing, job-hunting, very vibrant No US-style ‘Church of Drupal’ evangelism = relief!

Dries Buytaert - Keynote Drupal needs to start working on its marketing/look – Strong engineering effort but marketing not so good – Compared drupal.org/ and wordpress.org/drupal.org/wordpress.org/ Recognised opportunity for adoption across an organisation’s websites – lots of tools used across many websites – CERN’s situation is not unique and it has been recognised. – Direction of Drupal may help future large-scale implementation.
