2 Before We Get Started To receive a budget, you organization must charge: –Tier III Competitive Organizations $50/semester in dues –Tier III Non-Competitive Organizations $20/semester in dues –Tier II Organizations are not required to charge dues

4 Budget Application Budgets are submitted online through JacketPages Budget applications are due by Thursday, October 29 th, 2015 at 11:55 PM. Your organization must be in good standing with the Office of Leadership and Civic Engagement to be eligible –On JacketPages, your organization status will say “Active” President, Treasurer, and Advisor must all be listed on JacketPages

5 Budget Timeline Applications due on Thursday, October 29 th Budget Hearing Schedule released on Friday, November 6 th –All organizations MUST attend a budget hearing –Will occur in January and February Budget will be presented to legislative bodies in early March –Will be invited to legislative meetings where budget is discussed –Final Budget released in April

6 Membership Fee Requirements Competitive Organizations –Must charge $50/semester in dues Non-Competitive Organizations –Must charge $20/semester in dues All members must be listed on your organization’s roster on OrgSync (when it arrives)!

7 Tier System Tier I : Student Center and CRC Tier II : Large organizations that serve all of campus –ORGT, SCPC, SGA, Student Publications, Greek Programming Board, etc. Tier III : All other student organizations –Competitive –Multi-disciplinary –Cultural –Community Service

9 What Can’t Be Funded Food Lodging Fundraisers First-time events Capital expenditures FASET Materials Personnel or office supplies if you’re a Tier III Speaker Fees Tournaments that you have not qualified for Personal items (nametags, scrapbooks, business cards)

19 Final Notes How much should I request? Request what you need. Every organization is different. Must charge dues Will not fund more than 3x annual non-SGA revenue Budgets aren’t right for everyone. Bills are another option!
