Eurostat ESSnet Workshop 2012 Rome Demonstration of the CROS portal Jean-Marie Bolis (Eurostat) 3 CROS: General distribution of roles The portal administrators (the Eurostat team for Research in Official Statistics) manage the common parts of the portal manage applications for portal membership The ESSnet project leader (“administrator member”) manages the common parts of the portal manages applications for membership for the group (new!) is responsible for publication of the project pages/documents may publish news, events and newsletters, set up FAQs and a project discussion forum ( recommendation: only set it up if there is something specific to discuss! ) ESSnet project partners (“members”) add private pages and documents to the project ”book” participate in the project’s internal discussion forum (if any)

Unless you’re an HTML enthusiast, the WYSIWYG text format is recommended

The ”slider module” is the business card of your project – a short text + an appropriate image ( optimal size: 710*320 pixels ) Once you have entered a text and an image, the portal administrator may promote this to the portal homepage to offer maximum visibility to your project

WARNING: The ”book outline” should normally not be modified for the start page of your project! The results block is where all finalised, approved deliverables of your project should be published (they will then appear in the ”results” column of the ”details” page) Note: This feature is still under development (currently it is not possible to supply links to your deliverables)
