2 What they do… Choreographers: Audition performers for one or more dance parts in a production. Coordinate original dance routines for ballets, musicals, and other forms of entertainment. Create dance movements designed to demonstrate a story, interpret emotion, and entertain. Direct and stages dance presentations for various forms of entertainment. Instruct cast members in dance movements at rehearsals. Study a story line and music to plan dance movements.

4 Education A college education is not essential to become professional in this area, yet many dancers obtain degrees in unrelated fields for careers after dance.
