1 The Great Southern California ShakeOut November 12-16, 2008 A week of special events to inspire southern Californians to get ready for big earthquakes Region-wide earthquake drill Nov. 13 –millions of participants: schools, families, community groups, business, etc. –UCLA, UC Riverside, UC Irvine and a number of other SC universities are participating with all staff, students and faculty Los Angeles International Earthquake Policy Conference Concurrent with statewide “Golden Guardian” emergency exercise: largest ever this year.
