Definitions
Pronoun: a word that replaces a noun
Antecedent: the noun that a pronoun replaced

4. Agreement
The antecedent and pronoun must agree in number (singular or plural) and gender
Ex: Everyone looked at his watch. Correct or Incor.?
EX: Everyone looked at their watch. C or I?
EX: Samuel watched his dog at the park. C or I?
EX: Samuel watched her dog at the park. C or I?

5. Personal Pronouns 1st person: refers to the speaker
2nd person: refers to the one spoken to
3rd person: refers to the one spoken about

Ex: She gave herself the day off.
Intensive: Pronoun that emphasizes its antecedent and is unnecessary to basic sentence meaning
Ex: David himself bought a car.
