3 Naming Clouds There are many different clouds. Scientist sort clouds into 3 main groups: Cumulus, Cirrus, and Stratus. Click to go on!

4 Cumulus Clouds They are often low in the air and look like cotton wool or like cauliflower on top with a flat base. Groups of small white cumulus clouds are usually a sign of fine weather. Click to go on!

5 Cirrus Clouds These are the whitest, highest clouds made of tiny ice crystals. They are often wispy in appearance. The look like the hair on the tail of a horse. Click to go on!

6 Stratus Clouds These appear as light grey clouds that look like even sheets and cover all or part of the sky. They are composed of fine water droplets that become larger as they collide with each other and are often very low in the air. Click to go on!

7 Can You Sort the Clouds? You will see a picture of a cloud. Think about how the cloud looks. Is it a Cumulus. Cirrus, or Stratus Cloud? The answer will appear in the next slide! The slides will change by themselves! Do not click! Click here to start the game!
