1. Gimp Selective Color Practice 5/21/09

2. Download and open picture

3. Use blade tool to crop picture

5. Press the Ctrl and L buttons

6. Right click layer and select Duplicate Layer

7. Rename new layer “Gray scale”

8. While the “gray scale” or top layer is selected, go to the menu bar and click colors, then desaturate

9. Select “Luminosity” than Desaturate

10. Right click gray scale layer and click add layer mask

11. Make sure white is selected then press ok

12. Make sure you have these three: color first layer, gray scale second layer, and a mask layer

13. Select paint brush and start painting apple

14. Zoom in and change size of paintbrush by changing scale
