1 SUBMITTING AN AWARD WINNING COLLEGE PROJECT Charmane Osborne & Stephen Richie

2 College Project Criteria  There is a 1200 word count limit  Five questions must be answered  The chapter is judged on five components which makes your project complete  A flawless college project can get a maximum score of 45 points

3 College Project Question  1. Briefly describe your College Project and who from the chapter and the college administration was involved in determining it?

4 College Project Questions  2. Summarize your objectives for the College Project and the process by which the chapter and college administration set these objectives.

5 College Project Question  3. Describe the planning process and strategies developed to complete the College Project.

6 College Project Question  4. What were the quantitative and qualitative outcomes of your project, including the lessons learned by your chapter members and others?

7 College Project Question  5. What is left undone or what opportunities remain for the future?

8 Rubric Criteria PREPARATION  Chapter clearly made it a top priority to meet with appropriate administrator(s). They participated fully by being active listeners who shared and brainstormed ideas. Everyone gave careful consideration to what type of project would be most beneficial to the college to help it fulfill its mission.  10 points 9.7

9 Rubric Criteria LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT  Strong evidence of exceptional planning and teamwork. Used this opportunity to exercise and advance their leadership skills.  10 points 9.8

10 Rubric Criteria COOPERATIVE EFFORT/COMMUNICATIONS  Without question, the chapter members demonstrated a strong commitment to working with college administrators before, during and after the project. They responded to any challenges with flexibility and creativity to keep their project on track.  10 points 10

11 Rubric Criteria IMPACT  The project’s outcomes were exceptional and included both quantitative and qualitative elements. The chapter assessed in an intentional and reflective way what they learned, how they grew as scholarservant ‐ leaders and clearly stated what opportunities remain either to improve the project or to enhance the relationship with the college administration.  10 points 9.8

12 Rubric Criteria PRESENTATION  Spelling and grammar are faultless.  5 points 4.9
