3 Forum Priorities Anti social behaviour Market Square Atherstone (25 targeted patrols) Speeding vehicles and weight restrictions Ridge Lane (25 targeted patrols) Off road nuisance bikers Hartshill Hayes Country park (25 targeted patrols)

4 Community Priorities Warwickshire Police is obliged to protect communities from harm in line with the ‘Police Priorities’. This may mean that in exceptional circumstances SNT officers may be required to work on other policing priorities. If this happens there will be a need to re-negotiate priorities. This will be done in liaison with the Chair and the panel.

5 Anti-social behaviour Market Square Atherstone 105 targeted patrols completed (25 agreed) at various times engaged with all public houses and shops within Market Square to establish tasking engaged with all main groups using the square: youth, drinkers, shoppers engaged with St Marys Church worked with licensing officer in respect of issues relating to drinking within the square continuing promotion of Townwatch within the square to reflect tasking 1 arrest in respect of ASB related public order offence Summer in the Square event community safety partnership promoted ‘Know Your Limits campaign’ for safe drinking

6 Speeding vehicles/weight restrictions Ridge Lane 48 targeted patrols completed (25 agreed) at various times 518 vehicles checked 11 vehicles over the limit (majority marginally) 3 Traffic offence reports completed 2 lorries breached weight restriction limits. 1 reported for this offence worked with Tarmac, Archibolds, DSV to adapt delivery routes and SatNav settings liaised with Road Safety Officer Phil MOORE reference speed limit restrictions at top of Ridge Lane going into Birchley Heath combined work with NWSouth SNT reference this common problem direct feedback to residents of Ridge Lane via local NHW meeting

7 Hartshill Hayes Country Park – off road/nuisance bikers 68 patrols conducted (25 agreed) at various times re-establishment of ‘Dob Em In’ campaign and liaison with all Woodlands residents letters sent to residents in surrounding areas and approached local businesses visited all known and suspected offenders ongoing work with council for changes to disabled access gates Operation ROMFORD as part of Operation X 1 reported for summons, 1 section 59 warning issued, 1 seizure of Piaggio scooter 7 further section 59’s issued in Atherstone and Baddesley areas film produced by corporate communications department for use in schools/internet liaison with residents who confirm marked drop in incidents

8 Other Work ongoing development and support of active NHW groups – proactive groups growing in membership in East area continued promotion and development of ‘Townwatch continued disruption of known offenders involving execution of successful drugs warrants (3xAtherstone and 1xRidge Lane) plus several arrests of high profile offenders support of employment agency in targeting known offenders further joint work with trading standards and council licensing officer to control licensed premises and to deal swiftly with breaches of licence closer working with council housing department to deal with common issues increased emphasis on supporting vulnerable victims of ASB and action planning problem areas (case management plans) support of tasking via schools liaison officer for reflection in local schools increased local development of special constabulary

9 North Warwickshire Community Safety Partnership activity Be Safe burglary packs being distributed to victims of domestic burglary Packs include 'Be Safe' booklet, 2 x window alarms, 1 x door handle alarm, home security checklist and a CAPS messaging form.
