ICO, 2 integrated consultants, well established integrated service Currently approved as a pilot for 12 months Aim for 6 month post, full time in NE Thames

My week 60% full time unbanded supernumerary 1 day: ambulatory care or acute medicine 1 day: “community” – CORE MDT Islington/ home visits/ GP practices 1 day: respiratory inpatients/ outpatients

My impressions A privilege Final year revelation Following patients journeys Understanding their challenges Getting to know GPs and community teams Attending meetings and contributing to service improvement/ development

Conclusions This pilot will be a success Hope to springboard more posts +/- integrated blocks in conventional jobs Incorporating roles with current service provision will be challenging 75% were interested in integrated working at consultant level
