4. About the Course: General Information  Designed to prepare students for AP Calculus or AP Statistics  Major topics covered include:  Functions  Trigonometry  Exponential Equations and Logarithms  Basic Calculus

About the Course: Grading 65% Tests/Quizzes Chapter Tests Quizzes mid- chapter 10% Homework HW will be assigned 3-4 times/week 15% Maintenance Quizzes Assessments on topics covered earlier in the year 10% Participation Completing warm- ups Answering questions in class Reward for positive behavior

About the Course: Retake Policy  Generally, students may retake ONE unit test per marking period  Reasonable exceptions will be considered  Illness, injury, family matter, etc.  Students must demonstrate that they are now better prepared for the retake  After school help is available  Digital Office Hours

About the Instructor  Teaching in Penn Delco since 1998  Yes, longer than many of the students have been alive…  Started at Northley Middle School in 1998  Transferred to Sun Valley in 2004  Taught every course from Pre-Algebra through Calculus  Graduated West Chester University in 1998  Post-Graduate studies at Saint Joseph’s University  Married to Ms. Malaczewski (AP Psychology)  Three sons: Joey (12), Luke (8), Nicky (5)
