ISOLATIONISM= loner A Policy of avoiding political or military involvement with other countries. Ex: George Washington cautioned the U.S. to avoid “foreign entanglements.”

COLLECTIVE SECURITY= team player WORKING WITH OTHER COUNTRIES TO INFLUENCE WORLD AFFAIRS EX: NATO troops from different countries helped to keep peace in Eastern Europe

INTERNATIONALISM= world policeman GETTING INVOLVED IN OTHER COUNTRIES BUSINESS TO PROMOTE IMPORTANT NATIONAL INTERESTS AND /OR TO SAFEGUARD NATIONAL SECURITY. Why do you think the United States is continuously involved in Mideast affairs? What national interest are we concerned about?
