Hitler`s youth started on the 1920`s In 1933 it had 100,000 members In 1936 there were 4 million members Teachers from different schools complained about boys and girls going to Hitler`s youth. At the age of 10 to the age 18 the attended to Hitler`s youth. There were different lessons and organizations for boys and girls. Hitler`s belief that the future of Nazi Germany was its children. He wanted strong boys and girls, people who can suffer pain, the weak were not helpful. Alejandro Bedoya

Hitler believed that if he he trained people from a young age he could convert them in what he wanted. In his case, he wanted the young people to carry on the Nazi idealism, to think they were superior. The boys believed that Hitler was saving Germany. They also believed in anti-semitism which was disliking the Jews. Hitler was preparing the young boys for war, to defend Germany at any problem. Purpose: Alejandro Bedoya

The task of the boys section was to prepare the boys for military service. Boys at 10, joined the German Young People. At the age of 13 they transferred to the Hitler Youth until the age of 18. Boys Activities in the army: Marching, bayonet drill, grenade throwing, trench digging, map reading, gas defense, use of dugouts, how to get under barbed wire and pistol shooting. Alejandro Bedoya

For girls, the organization prepared them for motherhood. Girls, at the age of 10, joined the League of Young Girls and at the age of 14 transferred to the League of German Girls. Girls Activities: They knew how to throw a ball 12 meters, run 60 meters in 14 seconds, complete a 2 hour march, swim 100 meters and make their beds. Alejandro Bedoya

Indoctrination: Indoctrination was a method used by Hitler to implant his ideas in someones mind by washing their brains. Hitler use this method to promote his ideas and make more people that followed him. By: Luciano Lostaunau

Education in Hitler`s time The education in Hitler's time was teaching the children about having a professional carrier, teaching about Nazi, preparing for war and how to make a great Germany. Also in school textbook were changed to put Nazi information and pictures. By: Luciano Lostaunau

Differences between indoctrination and education Education Indoctrination Teach to someone in a formal way, letting the children to liberty and think in their ideas. Is similar to education but instead of letting the children think, is implant ideas in someone's mind. By: Luciano Lostaunau

Rewards or Recognition In Nazi Germany the best achieving kids in P.E from all around Adolf Hitler’s schools where gathered in this boarding schools called ‘’order castles’’. Going into an order castle was a huge privilege, inside this boarding schools the future leaders of Germany were raise. They taught them subjects such as racial education and ‘’Lebensborn’’ in Geography. 2 hours of sports a day were obligatory. By: JuanDiego León

Further into Order Castles Order Castles where the most strict and disciplined schools in Germany, kids usually graduated with Hitler’s ideas indoctrinated deep into their minds. Order Castles were not optional, if you were chosen, neither did your parents or you could do something to avoid you from going. P.E was taken to next level on order castles, Boxing, swimming hiking, etc. All consider obligatory activities, even shooting with real weapons was part of this indoctrination. By: JuanDiego León

Sanctions Information on the types of sanctions given in German Schools is very limited, However it is well suspect that physical aggression was definitely part of indoctrination. Heres are some of what are thought to be punishments: More P.E such as running or pull-ups Isolation Aggression In case of being Jewish or having wncestors which were jews, you could be called in front of the class, as a example of racial inferiority, this only happen in Nazi early years. Did you know? The life of kids in Germany was controlled inside and outside school. School children where forced to read a news paper called Voelkischer Boebackter wchich only contain Nazi beliefs. Math problems in Nazi Germany included calculating amount of money saved if there where no handicaps or jews in Germany and to find out the angle in which bombs fell. By: JuanDiego León

Racial education become an important part of the curriculum in Nazi Germany school. This subject start when you enter to school at age of 6. Hitler declared that “No boy or girl should leave school without complete knowledge of the necessity and meaning of blood purity." In 1933 and 1934 there were large numbers of Jewish children in the schools. Geography Geography was a school subject changed by the Nazis. The Nazis teach the students that German territory was any territory occupied by German speaking people or cultures that have been influenced by the German people. Students were with the idea that Germany had a lot of land that was taken from them. Gabriel Posso

Physical Education In Nazi Germany, Hitler changed the time for physical training to 2 hours per day, instead of the normally 2 hours per week before the Nazi take over Germany. Physical training was a major focus of the Hitler Youth movement. Hitler want to the kids do more physical education so in the future they can become better soldiers. Gabriel Posso
