4. Typing at a Point: Not unlike typing in any basic word processing program, to type at a point you click in a document with the Type Tool and start typing. Typing in an Area: To type in an object, click and drag with the Type Tool or Vertical Type Tool and then start typing within the area. Typing on a Path: You can create text that flows along an open or closed path. Select the Type Tool and click on any defined path and start typing.
