Key Lighting Used as main source of light If you have only one light this is the one Try bouncers to reflect more light Set to the right and forward of camera with a 35% – 45% angle

Fill Light Used to fill shadows Should be softer light Dimmer than key light to avoid washout Set to left of camera and half way between subject and camera

Back Light Small and focused light Used to separate subject from the background Behind subject, set higher than key light Directed at the subject shoulders and head Watch for lens flare
