1. SS 1 Visual art TOPIC : COLOUR CHEMISTRY Colour is an element of art that could only be percieved visually. If your eyes are closed, you cannot detect the difference between one colour and from the other, likewise when there is total darkness and your eyes are opened. Therefore, colour could be defined as a feeling or sensation percieved in the eyes(visual) with the presence of light. Another name for colour is hue. Colour has the power to arouse emotions in painting when the painter is versatile in the theory and uses. Colour could also catch attention, influence, size and distance in painting. It could also expand or diminish forms of objects.

2. The study of science has shown that colour is presence in light, sir Isaac Newton, one of the greatest scientist who discovered the colours of the spectrum which is the sequential arrangement of colour such as the ‘RAINBOW’. The colours of the spectrum red, orange,yellow, green,blue,indigo and violet (ROYGBIV). ASSIGNMENT Draw and colour an apple showing the spectrum colours.
