Preliminary Analysis of HF SPE's Kadri Ozdemir (CU), Kerem Cankocak (Iowa)

In the past we tookl good SPE runs, but they were almost all at HV=1250 V For each Calibration Unit (each Quadrant) we used a different LED intensity: ledCfgDBtag="HF_LED_SPE" HFM: Q1--> 60 Amp Q2--> 45 Amp Q3--> 45 Amp Q4--> 70 Amp HFP: Q1--> 80 Amp Q2--> 70 Amp Q3--> 57 Amp Q4--> 79 Amp HV @ 1250 V HV @ 1150 V We need lower LED amplitudes for lower HV's Low intensity LED runs for SPE's We need more runs with proper LED amplitude settings for 1350 V and 1150 V

Eta-Phi distribution of NPE's @ 1250 V

Avaliable HF_LED_SPE runs during 2008 for 1250 V 65046, 65052, 65053, 65055, 65056, 65332, 69079, 69081,69083 Following HF_LED_SPE runs were used in 1250V; 69079 is ref. Run 69081, 69083, 65332, 65056, 65055 As first step i obtained Number of photons and SPE Then i calculated ratio of HF_LED_SPE ( Ratio = NPE / NPERef) for different values of amplitude. And try to find problematic channels for each runs.

Run 69079 1250 V Amp. 50 1K Run 69081 1250 V Amp. 75 1K

Run 69079 1250 V Amp. 50 1K Run 69083 1250 V Amp. 100 1K

Run 69079 1250 V Amp. 50 1K Run 65322 1250 V Amp. HFM Q1 –>60 Q2 –>45 Q3 –>45 HFM Q1 –>80 Q2 –>70 Q3 –>57 1K

Run 69079 1250 V Amp. 50 1K Run 69056 1250 V -1K-0.4T Amp. HFM Q1 –>60 Q2 –>45 Q3 –>45 Q3 –>70 HFM Q1 –>80 Q2 –>70 Q3 –>57 Q4 –>79

Run 69079 1250 V Amp. 50 1K Run 69055 1250 V -1K- 0.6T Amp. HFM Q1 –>60 Q2 –>45 Q3 –>45 Q4 –>70 HFM Q1 –>80 Q2 –>70 Q3 –>57 Q4 –>79

todo Analyze all the runs already taken Take more runs @1150 V and @1350 V with optimum LED intensity for SPE's Investigate the problematic channels
