Introduction The Native American life is closely aligned with the past. Their history, culture, and religion make them unique among the people living in the United States. While much is known about the Native Americans, there is still a great deal that is unknown. That is where archaeology enters. Archaeology searches through relics of the past to understand why and how the Native Americans lived. In the following slides, you will see videos and pictures and read articles about what archaeology is and what an archaeologist does.

Your Task Your tasks are the following: 1.Review each link listed throughout the rest of this presentation. 2.Take 2-column notes about what you read, hear, and see. (50 points) 3.From your notes, write a well-developed five paragraph essay about one of the following topics. (100 points) 1.What is archaeology? 2.What does an archaeologist do? 3.How are we impacted by archaeology? 4.A rubric will be posted on my wiki spaces.

Now, what? Write your essay. Go to English with Mrs. Bee for the rubric.English with Mrs. Bee Proof your essay according to the standards on the rubric. Have someone else proof your essay according to the standards on the rubric. They must initial the essay after they have proofed it. Rewrite it, incorporating the corrections made by the other person. Type the essay. Turn the rubric you wrote on, your rough draft, and the essay in to me.
