Hot Climate Initiative in North Carolina Between July and November 2003, all 33 weatherization providers received training New River Center for Energy Research and Training and J & J Weatherization was enlisted to provide classroom and hands-on training. Training Received

Hot Climate Initiative in North Carolina Training emphasized whole-house weatherization, not just cooling-only measures Even in hot climates, savings in heating energy drives cost-effectiveness of most measures Measures that would reduce heating load also reduces cooling load Mostly not cost-effective to replace windows and doors Points Learned
