1 DSS  Informal review Tuesday 24 th October 10:00 Room 2 1-034, organized by Laurent Roy.  Subsystems will not be allowed to run overnight or at weekends if DSS is not installed and running.  We must present our thoughts on  equipment needed  alarms  actions

2 - Probe for water leak detection (Mixed Water) on the bottom of the HCAL and ECAL Racks : How many, fixation, cables used, where chaining is done, when they will be ordered and installed, tests... - Thermo switch for PS and SPD : How many, types, switching temperature value, position, cables used, where chaining is done, when they will be ordered and installed, how to test them... - Link between DSS and the demineralized Water PLC (cooling for PS/SPD): Are there two circuits side A and side C?, PLC location, connection types to the PLC. - Other equipement safety points without links foreseen today with DSS: 100V,30V,18V Voltage shut down, 'Switch off' function directly on the HV ? "monitoring source"-->interlock, parking position when electrical power cutting ?... - When will DSS need to be fully operational for Calorimeter ?

3 Then, the Alarm-Action Matrix could also be discussed during that meeting. The Calorimeter can be divided in two parts (DSS point of view), my proposition for each side is the following: * One PS/SPD Thermo switch open --> Alarm: Temperature too high in PS or SPD 'boxes' side x --> Action: shut down electrical power for Calorimeter side x (x = A or C). * No Flow (mixed water) during 10 seconds OR water Temperature too high OR water Temperature too low --> Alarm: Mixed water cooling not ok --> Action: shut down electrical power for Calorimeter side x AND? close valve of the circuit side x. * Detector fire detection (Sniffer system) in a calorimeter part side x --> Alarm: Fire detection in Calo side x --> Action: shut down electrical power for Calorimeter side x. * Rack fire detection (Smoke detector in Turbine)--> Action: shut down electrical power for Calorimeter side x AND CO2 Gas injected in the rack concerned. * Rack Thermo switch in Turbine open --> Alarm: Temperature too high in a rack side x --> Action: shut down electrical power for Calorimeter side x. * Water leak detection in a rack side x --> Alarm: water leak in a rack side x --> Action: shut down electrical power and close valve of the circuit side x. * Water leak detection in a PS or SPD 'boxes' side x --> Alarm: water leak in a PS/SPD boxes side x- -> Action: shut down electrical power for Calorimeter side x AND open a contact ('stop the cooling')links to the demineralized water PLC. * Contact open from the demineralized water PLC --> Alarm: demineralized water not ok --> Action: shut down electrical power for Calorimeter side A and/or C ? (The D3 and B1 Calo racks follow a common Counting House racks Action-Matrix) DSS documentation (in french): https://edms.cern.ch/file/580080/2/DSS_LHCB_version2.3.pdfhttps://edms.cern.ch/file/580080/2/DSS_LHCB_version2.3.pdf https://edms.cern.ch/580080/DSS_LHCB/version2.3.pdf
