MANAGING PEOPLE Manage your audience ◦Who are they and adapt to their needs ◦Make sure content is for them, not you ◦Get them involved – ask questions ◦If appropriate get them to work in groups/pairs ◦Use simple langue – avoid jargon

MANAGE YOURSELF Be prepared Consider how you will put content across Work on your pace, tone and body language – remember maximum impact Wear something you feel good in Practice visualisation and positive self talk Take the floor with confidence – stand firm, look at the audience, use open gestures and....... SMILE!

TIPS FOR ADDING ZEST! Visual aids, quotes Use pie charts, bar charts to present figures Tell stories to bring presentation alive Ask questions and get them involved Add some exercises Refer to people by name Tailor what you say to audience Use humour if appropriate

Time to show your skills... Prepare a presentation on your key learning points from the SWIFT programme to date Explain why they are important to you and how you are going to use them. You have 20 minutes to prepare and 5 minutes maximum to present Use flipchart and coloured pens to get your points across
