Asha – in a Nutshell A Non-profit voluntary organization dedicated to socio-economic change in India mainly using the medium of education. Highlights: –Seattle Chapter started in 1994 –Present active volunteers: ~ 30 –Annual financial commitment for 2004: ~ 350 K –100 % of your donation goes to India

What Asha Provides You Training in a group –Once a week in a group –Two or Three times a week by yourself –One track run Registration to One of the Marathons Nutrition information Professional medical advice A web site for each runner A cause to run for!

How It Works Asha provides you training and some other facilities You give your commitment to run for Asha The money you raise goes towards educating underprivileged children in India

The Cost Factor $100.00 Registration fee. This includes –Training fee –A free T-shirt –10% off in Jock’n Jill $100 refund if –You run in Marathon –Have Medical problems
