What is Collective Impact? A process that seeks to solve a specific, often complex social problem It involves a centralized infrastructure, supported by dedicated staff It must have the commitment of important actors from different sectors It involves the adoption of a common agenda on how to solve the problem It involves shared measurement across organizations, continuous communication, and mutually reinforcing activities

Isolated impact Similar organizations collect quality data, but are isolated and not coordinated with others

Coordinated impact Similar organizations collect quality independent data that align under similar outcomes for broad community impact

Collective impact Similar organizations collect quality data for the same outcomes in a coordinated and collaborative network that reinforces other networks strategically implementing the community’s shared agenda
